TNI Habema Task Force Brings Joy to Papuan Children Through Heartwarming Gesture

YAHUKIMO - Strengthening the bond between TNI Soldiers and the people of Papua, the Infantry Battalion Task Force 6 Marinir (Satgas Yonif 6 Marinir) under the HABEMA Operations Command, is carrying out the RI-PNG Mobile Border Security Operation in Yahukimo Regency, Central Papua Province. As part of their social engagement efforts, the Marinir soldiers took a moment to share happiness with local children by distributing snacks and engaging in warm conversations on Thursday (6/2/2025).

This heartwarming activity reflects TNI’s deep care, attention, and affection for Papuan children, fostering a sense of closeness and trust between the military and the local community. Beyond their security duties, TNI Habema soldiers understand that small acts of kindness can make a big impact on the lives of the younger generation.

Lieutenant Colonel Marinir Rismanto Manurung, S.M., M.Tr. Opsla., CTMP., Commander of the Yonif 6 Marine Task Force, emphasized the importance of togetherness between TNI and the people in ensuring the success of their mission.

"Our closeness with the people is essential, as it strengthens our role in protecting the nation's sovereignty. Through simple gestures like this, we aim to touch the hearts of Papuan children and make them feel valued and safe, " he stated.

"The initiative of the Yonif 6 Marine Task Force to distribute snacks to children in Yahukimo Regency is a testament to TNI’s dedication in serving the basic needs of the community. This initiative is part of our commitment to accelerating development in Papua by fostering a sense of unity and support, " said HABEMA Commander, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the activity report.
